EICAR’s International Department Director recently visited Manipal University’s Dubai campus to kick-off the new Dual Bachelor ‘s Program in which Manipal Dubai students complete an additional 4th year advance Filmmaking Program at EICAR.
Mr. Swaim presented EICAR’s International Bachelor & Master of Fine Art programs to undergraduate students of Manipal University Dubai before he screened some of the award-winning EICAR student films.
The highlight of his visit was his Master Class Lecture on « Women in the Cinema Today » where he gave a brief history of the importance of women in the creation and development of cinema as well as the many opportunities for women today in the evolving digital audio-visual industries.
« Over 70% of the students in the Communication Department are women », commented the Head of Manipal Communication Program Department, Dr. R. N. Shukul, « and it was important for them to know that there are growing opportunities for them in today’s industry. »
